Why won't the Sony Xperia SP notify me when it's in sleep mode?
I don't always recieve my whatsapp and sports udates when my phone is in sleep mode. How do you lock in notification/alert tones?

Maybe it's your Wi-Fi that turns off when in sleep. Check Settings --> Wi-Fi --> tap Menu --> choose Advanced --> check the option 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep', make sure it's Always.
