the proper answer to this question, you have to go to inbox and outbox press the options button. Scroll down to mark/unmark, it should be a 7 beside it and press select and MARK ALL!
You should now see check marks beside all messages then press the options button again and scroll down to delete which should be #2.
To delete all messages at once, select your inbox or outbox and press options and select delete all.
