Hi Aneed. Which phone are you using? Let me know, that helps on figuring out what that icon means. Though if it's Android, maybe you're looking at Silent mode or Do not Disturb mode. To get out of Do no Disturb mode, press a volume key while in home screen, tap the bell icon, choose All. Let me know if that's what you're looking for.
