Why can't I answer calls on Alcatel One Touch Conquest?
After having this phone for a month and it stopped allowing me to answer when a call comes in no pop-up that says answer or ignore there is just no way to answer the phone any longer

I inadvertently stumbled upon the solution. I had tried all settings having to do with apps and notifications but nothing had worked. I had twice done a factory reset and talked with several tech support people and no solution had been found.
For some reason (escapes me now) I was in the location settings this morning when I noticed a sub setting for apps. The dialer was on the list and in the dialer location settings I noticed a box 'show notifications' was not checked, so I checked it and that seemed to have fixed the problem.
Thank you, that's a good suggestion. I tried but unfortunately there is no way to disable the default dialer. I have, however, tried a couple of other dialers but that hasn't solved the problem. Apparently they only work for outgoing calls. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
