Does frequent switching of phones cause damage to a SIM card?
i was wondering if i could switch my sims card from one nextel to another nextel phone, just different models without causing any damage to the sims card. The sims card fits , but someone told me it would fry up and i would lose all my data.

Well as long as it uses sim technology the sim should be alright for switching from one phone to another. The only issue would be if you are using a phone that is for nextel or locked to another network. As then it would have to be unlocked to be used. Sim cards are like memory chips that store information and use very little power so the only way to destroy them is if the phone was damaged or you are trying to damage it your self.
