Grindale, Thanks for the reply, However the choices you list are not applicable to a Motorola EX431G. I am given no option for the incoming text alert that I can find.

Hi Rob. You can edit test message ringtones by customizing user profiles. Press Menu ➔ User Profiles. Choose a profile. Press Options ➔ Customize to edit a profile.
