Why did the screen on my ZTE Valet go blank?
My screen has gone blank on my ZTE Valet though everything else seems to be working. What can I do to fix this?

My ZTE phone from Assurance wireless kept having a blank screen after I turned it on. It would flash real fast and then turn grey. I took the battery out and it put it back. It magically fixed itself :)
There is another one there now.... look up Proximity Sensor Repair. Seems to have repaired the constant black screen over and over when turning it on/removing battery etc over and over and eventually it would come on... but often when screen turned off after 5 minutes .... it was black again with only the backlit part on (can see only in ambient light).
The calibration app doesn't seem to be available anymore. So what I did was cut a square out of my screen protector plastic sheet. That seems to have fixed it.
AWESOME. My phone was going nuts when I was on a call - screen would turn on & off, would go off when away from my ear and on when near it. Ridiculous. In 2 minutes, this app appears to have solved all of that. THANKS!
My phone screen is just black as soon as I turn it on... No logo, but it makes a few sounds and responds, but I can't see anything but a lit up black screen... Help???
Thanks! I was at my wits end and ready to buy another phone. Proximity Sensor Calibration fixed it right away.
I saw this on another forum. I was having problems with the blank or black screen during a phone call but the normal screen would not come back as it should. First thing I saw that I tried was to wipe/clean off the screen where the Proximity Sensor was located(that is is just below the left side of the speaker/ear). The other thing suggested which fixed it entirely is an app on Google Play by ZTE. Don't know why, but my screen was blank this morning. Took the battery out for about 15 minutes, and now the screen is on. Hope this isn't going to be a regular occurrence . . . . my phone is pretty new
Hey Jim. If you're sure that your phone is already turned on but nothing shows up, your screen could be busted. You need to contact ZTE to find out how you can get the screen of your phone repaired.
