Typing on virtual keyboards is often quite troublesome. So phones like the Samsung S390G will probably always be around. It features a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. And as you can imagine, it’s best used mainly for mobile messaging.
The S390G has a fairly unimpressive list of specs. It has a 12mm thick profile and comes with a 2-megapixel camera. It even offers Bluetooth wireless connectivity. But unlike many other basic phones in its price range, it has one thing that stands to make it incredibly useful: Wi-Fi connectivity.
Wi-Fi can be used to go online without incurring insanely high data costs. And just in case Wi-Fi networks are unavailable, users can fall back on HSDPA data. It’s pretty well-connected. But app support is limited to just Java applications and battery life could be longer. These are both acceptable drawbacks, however, and both are outweighed by the other features also present on the S390G.
