The Nokia 3555 is a quad band GSM clamshell with a blue exterior, a 98x65 pixel black and white external display and an eclectic collection of features including: FM radio, MP3 (supports MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA), 2.0 stereo Bluetooth, a VGA camera, and a selection of voice commands for dialing, commands, recording, speakerphone and push-to-talk.
The feature set is rounded out with a 1,000 contact address book that can be personalized with picture and ringer ID, an alarm, calendar, calculator, to-do list and a stopwatch. I was distressed to find no world clock. Okay bad joke.
The Nokia 3555 measures 99.5x44x20.5 mm and weighs a mere 3.3 ounces. It has a talk time of 3 hours and a standby time of 240 hours. The 3555 comes with 3MB of onboard memory and is expandable via microSD.
The internal 1.8” display has a 128x160 pixel resolution. With its WAP 2.0 browser you can do a moderate job of surfing the web. There is a 2.5mm headset jack and a micro USB connector port.
As with many of the phones being produced by the large manufacturers, the Nokia 3335 is largely “just another phone.” Even at an entry level price point, it would be nice to see a bit more excitement or some manner of making each phone unique.
