What does L1 , musical note symbol on top left of my cellfone and how to delete it?

Musical Note icon indicates that ringtone is on.

L1 means Line 1. it is possible to have a sim card with 2 incoming phone lines (L1 and L2) you can then hold a caller on L1 and talk to someone on Line 2 (L2) before switching back to L1.
