How to stop my Alcatel One Touch 871A from pocket dialing?
Even with key lock on, phone will dial 911 via the 'emergency number' button. Is there a way to disable this so we're back on good terms with our local dispatchers?

There was an update that fixed the problem. Thank you, Carl and Lisa, for your help. Our local dispatchers are much relieved, too!
you have to upgrade the phone ....under settings go to att software upgrade, then check for updates. They issued an upgrade in mid May to stop the pocket dialing
Hi rlca_mom. I suggest calling your manufacturer and/or carrier about this issue. I read somewhere that there's an update to fix this issue. Also, I suggest that you use a lanyard or put your phone in a bag for the mean time to avoid automatic dialing.
