How to transfer photos from the Samsung Gusto 3 to a computer?

How do I download pics from my samsung gusto 3 to my computer?

One way is to send the photo to somebody who has a smartphone. Then they can send it back to you as an attachment to an email. Once you get the email, download to the computer.

"8. I can’t see any capability to transfer contact info or pictures from the PC to the phone." Right click the file, select "send", then send to the bluetooth device. You will receive an alert and tone on the phone and it will ask if you accept, click yes, file is quickly transferred.

You can email the to your email also

I thought of a few details that anyone using my post above might want to know.

1. My Samsung Gusto 3 phone is an SM-B311VZKPVZW. I purchased it new in June 2015 from a Verizon store.

2. The PC I installed Bluetooth on is a Lenovo 0873 notebook purchased a few years ago for about $280, so a low end model.

3. The PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I talked to Samsung support chat and there is no way to transfer pictures via the data cable from the Gusto 3. Samsung discontinued providing software to the newer basic model phones And there is no way to transfer pictures or contacts from a PC to the phone via the micro USB data cable. I was able to transfer pictures from my Samsung Gusto 3 phone to my PC via Bluetooth and also transfer my contact list to my PC via Bluetooth. However, none of my 3 PCs had Bluetooth hardware installed. So I purchased a Bluetooth dongle from Amazon for $6.99 and installed it on my computer. The process of installing Bluetooth, pairing the phone with the computer and doing the transfer was a bit mysterious so I will list all steps below if there if this service allows. I am recording the steps by memory so their might be some small discrepancies but hopefully they will be close enough that you can figure out the right steps.

1. I am able to transfer via Bluetooth:
a. Pictures taken with the phone’s camera to my Lenovo PC
b. Contact Cards (VCs) (from her contact list) from the phone to my Lenovo PC

2. The PC did not have Bluetooth hardware. I checked this by pressing the Windows key at the same time as the R key and then typing devmgmt.msc. Use the “view” pulldown and click “show hidden devices”. If a Bluetooth device is operational it will display between “Batteries” and “Computer”.

3. Since there was nothing there I purchased a CSR Bluetooth USB Dongle from Amazon for $6.99. Before I plugged in the dongle I inserted the CD that came with it and let it execute the setup on the CD from the menu that popped up.

4. Then I inserted the dongle and it spent some time installing drivers. I waited until it had shown successful installation for several drivers. Four I think.

5. Then on the Samsung phone I enabled Bluetooth as follows:
a. Menu
b. Settings
c. Bluetooth
d. Add New Device
e. It then found the PC and displayed its name, Lenovo1
f. Click “OK” on the phone to Pair
g. At this point the PC popped up a message in the lower right corner that the phone was attempting to pair and I should click on that icon to get more info. It asked if I would accept the connection and I okayed that. Then it displayed a 6 digit code that I should look for on the phone.
h. The Phone then displayed a 6 digit code and asked if that was the one displayed on the PC. It was so I clicked yes.
i. At this point I needed to click “OK” or “Next” at the bottom right of the PC screen. After I did that, I got pairing completed messages on both the PC and the phone.

6. To send pictures from the phone to the PC:
a. “Menu” from the home screen
b. My Pictures
c. Navigate to the picture to be sent
d. Options (right soft key)
e. Send
f. Via Bluetooth
g. Click OK for only the one picture or right soft key for all pictures
h. Done (left soft key)
i. Scroll down to the Lenovo1 device
j. Click the OK key – it showed “Sending” and a progress bar.
k. The picture was sent to C:\BluetoothExchangeFolder\

7. To send all the contacts stored in the phone to the PC
a. Go to home screen, then press right soft key (contacts)
b. Options (right soft key)
c. 3. Send Name Card
d. 2. Bluetooth
e. Navigate and mark one card with the OK key or click the right soft key to mark all cards
f. Done
g. Scroll down to the Lenovo device
h. Click the OK key – it showed “Sending” and a progress bar.
i. The VCs were sent to C:\BluetoothExchangeFolder\

8. I can’t see any capability to transfer contact info or pictures from the PC to the phone.
